108 Divya Kshetra Kritis
Dr. Rukmini Ramani has composed kritis on all 108 Divya Kshetrams, encompassing a total of 91 ragas.
Sri T. V. Gopalakrishnan, in his foreword to the book “108 திவ்ய க்ஷேத்திர கீர்த்தனைகள்”, has mentioned, “The lyrical content of each kriti is crafted in elegant, uncomplicated, and easy-to-learn Tamil, with a compelling impact. The core values of Sthala and stala purana are meticulously preserved in all the compositions.”
There are several temples dedicated to Maha Vishnu, also known as Sthalams.
These temples, collectively known as the 108 Vishnu Temples or 108 Divya Desam Temples, hold great significance.
Among the 108 Vishnu Temples, 105 are located in India, one is in Nepal, and the other two are believed to exist beyond the Earthly realms.
The remaining two Vishnu Temples, known as Thiruparkadal and Sri Vaikuntham, are considered the divine abodes of Sri Maha Vishnu. These temples hold special importance for Srivaishnavites, who aspire to attain Moksha and liberate themselves from the cycle of rebirth.
